Year after year, I find myself justifying the purchase of yet another white dress, but given that I live in them all summer long, I think it’s well-warranted. Moreover, white dresses are one of those classic staples that every woman needs in her closet (see how good I am at justifying purchases?). I got this particular dress last summer, so sadly it’s no longer available, but see below for a few of the white dresses I’m currently coveting.

If you’ve been reading this blog for more than a day or two, you likely are well aware of how into stripes I am. You may also be aware that I dig whites in a major way, so I’m sure it’s no surprise to you that this combo is in pretty regular rotation in my summer style repertoire. I got this top (last seen here) a couple months ago and I hadn’t yet paired it with white, so I figured it’d make a good look for this weekend’s seaside excursion. Little did I know, one of my friends that I spent the weekend with was planning her take on stripes and whites too (must be that call of the ocean) – but I love how two similar looks can still be totally different. I’ll take it as an indication that there’s always room for more stripes in the closet.
