Easter Unconventional

Dolce Vita Seni Romper, Zambos & Siega Clutch, Isabel Marant Jenny Boots, Stella & Dot Avalon Crescent Necklace

Though I most certainly dig Easter dresses and all their flowy pastel goodness, I went in a bit of a different direction for brunch this past Sunday. I’ll admit this romper is kind of an odd choice, but something about the combo of bell sleeves and bohemian daisies seemed particularly appropriate for Easter in San Francisco. And as I’ve expressed time and time again, I’m a sucker for all things mint.

While walking down Haight Street and wearing these pants the other day, a dog came running up to me (and Milo, who was accompanying me per usual) to greet us. His owner – who looked as if he’d perhaps come to Haight-Ashbury in the Summer of Love and never left – trailed behind him. “Sorry!” he said. “Timmy really likes purple.” I’d never gotten fashion feedback from a canine before, but there’s a first time for everything, right?

Side note: This is obviously my third post in a row with this Muse anorak – be sure to enter the $150 Muse gift certificate giveaway!

Despite my growing love for San Francisco, one place will always be home – nice to have a little something to remind me of that, even while basking in the no-jacket-needed January afternoon sun. Plus, I’ve been really into shirts like this to mix things up lately – what are y’all’s thoughts on graphic tees? I’ve been digging them paired with pretty much any and everything.

Gettin’ the Boot

Despite my aversion to all things involving cold weather, boots are one of my favorite forms of footwear, and holy crap there are some goodies out there right now.

Clockwise, from upper left:
DV by Dolce Vita Java boots
Isabel Marant Jenny brushed-suede ankle boots (obsessed. le sigh…)
Sam Edelman Louie fringe booties
Joie bright fire booties
Kelsi Dagger twilight booties
Joe’s Jeans Fia booties

Bermuda Triangles

Free People Bermuda Triangle tank, Otis & Maclain skirt, Dolce Vita wedges, Mulberry Oversized Alexa bag, Gucci sunglasses, Jewelmint Cleopatra Cabachon earrings

So my love for (obsession with) all things neon has clearly not yet subsided, as I recently spotted this tank’s neon triangular appliques from across a boutique and beelined. Can we please bring neon with us into fall? I’m gonna go with yes.

Another thing of note about this outfit: When I was anywhere from, say, talking age to about 10 years old, I would have nothing to do with any and all things pink or purple and preferred to stick with my trusted blues, greens and browns. My 8-year-old self would be horrified at my current state.
